Tangara likely will need surgery on his skull, UA assistant coach Josh Pastner said Wednesday night. Tangara was discharged from the hospital and returned to the training room at McKale Center by 11 p.m.
Also, Williams is good to go for WSU:
Arizona coach Lute Olson said the Wildcats should have Marcus Williams back for Thursday’s game against Washington State.
UA played half of Saturday’s game without Williams, who sprained his right ankle with 4:47 left in the first half when he landed on a defender’s foot while shooting a 3-pointer in front of the North Carolina bench.
Honestly, there is not much good to be said following the Wildcats utter disaster of a game on Saturday. Quite frankly I am too upset to talk about it. But, I am not too upset to rant about it. Lets face it, the wildcats suck. They are horrible. Lute; what the hell are you doing? You have embarrassed the university, the Pac-10, NCAA college hoops.
As a UA alum, I have to question as to whether or not you still have what it takes to coach. Lets face it, that loss was not due to UNC’s greatness. Because although they did look great, the Cats looked like they didn’t know what do, or how to do it. Hey, how about shooting some 3’s to get back into the game? Oh wait, we shot 1-23(4.3%) from long distance and that in itself is a telling stat.
Lute, you need to take back control of this team. You can’t let them coast anymore. You can’t let them stumble into March Madness, if you are lucky enough to even get there. You better turn this around fast Lute. Because if you don’t, people will be calling for your retirement. And guess what…I already have.
