Selig attended the Diamondbacks’ home-opener against the Cincinnati Reds and spoke about the possibility of Phoenix hosting an All-Star game in the near future.
Selig said there was a “good chance” Chase Field could host the event in 2011, which is the earliest Phoenix could hold the event. St. Louis will host the All-Star in 2009 and Selig said he would like to alternate the game between American and National League cities.
Uhhh…huh…
As soon as we lose the purple, Selig is on-board! No wonder they wend to the “sandy red!”
