Today the Arizona Cardinals announced that the team has released fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo, guard Milford Brown and defensive tackle Kendrick Clancy.  All 3 players were former starters for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2006 season.

All 3 of the players were getting paid too much to be back up players for the 2007 so the cuts all make sense.  Ayanbadejo was a nice Fullback to have because he could catch the ball out of the back field and was a solid runner but in Ken Whisenhunt’s offense Terrell Smith is going to fit the style of football better.  Milford Brown was an easy cut with all the Guards that were signed in the off-season and Kendrick Clancy lost his spot due to the Cardinals drafting Alan Branch with there 2nd round pick.  These moves should clear up some salary cap space for OT Levi Brown and the rest of the draft pick made by the Cardinals.
