That’s right! Although school is out for summer, teachers are being schooled on how to incorporate Super Bowl XLII into their curriculum for this next school year! It is all part of the AZ Super Bowl Host Committee’s efforts to get the community excited about the upcoming Super Bowl XLII and involved as well.
The AZ Republic explains that, “At a pep rally on Saturday, teachers will learn about the “Super Learning in a Super State” program, which encourages them to get into the spirit of the Super Bowl while staying within Arizona’s curriculum standards.
The 8-year-old program follows the Super Bowl to its new location each year and integrates the event into curriculum for core subject areas. The big game will be played in February at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.”
If you are a teacher, or know a teacher (k-12) who may be interested in being involved, this program is FREE and ‘includes incentive program packages for Super Bowl event prizes for top performing classes’.
The event will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at University of Phoenix Stadium from 9:30am - 12:00 pm and will include the Super Bowl XLII event incentives as well as a personal tour of the University of Phoenix Stadium.
More information is available on the AZ Super Bowl 2008 site.
