Should the Suns trade Shawn Marion?
With all the trade rumors abuzz, many of them have centered around Shawn Marion. The question to me, you and anyone who follows the NBA, is not whether the Suns will trade Marion, because chances are they won’t, but SHOULD the Suns trade him? Let us know what you think:
Suns General Manager Steve Kerr on Shawn Marion trade talk:
“The reason there is speculation is because Shawn is a hell of a player. He’s an All-Star. People are going to call and that’s the way it is. What I told you guys last week is we’re going to go through every scenario. If somebody calls and says, ‘Hey, what about this?’ We’ll talk about it. I don’t have any intention of calling other people and pursuing it. It’s just a matter of you always have to listen and gauge everyone’s value. Ultimately, the goal is to make your team better.”
D’Antoni:
“Everybody wants him. I think it’s a compliment to Shawn and what we’re doing. I don’t think anybody wants to see him go. We’d love to have him here and hopefully that’s the way it will work out and I think it will.”

Sorry, but getting him out of the Western Conference probably isn’t an option. I’ve read here that the Bulls’d be a preferred destination… well, Paxson has proved himself to be extremely reticient to trade his ‘boys’ away. Won’t happen.
Hell, I think the most likely scenario now is that he ends up STILL IN THE SAME CONFERENCE!
