Buster Olney of ESPN is reporting that the Arizona Diamondbacks are shopping the services of Livan Hernandez. Livan’s $7 million a year contract expires at the end of the season and could be the perfect deadline pick up for a team in major need for a pitcher who can eat up innings…. Wait a second weren’t the Dbacks according to Josh Byrnes in the market for a starting pitcher to help solidify their pitching staff and roster? This seems to be a very odd report but if Livan is dealt it’s the Diamondbacks front office waiving the white flag and packing it in for next year. Time will tell if they are buyers or sellers.
