Vick Being Investigated In Arizona

By Greg Esposito, July 26th, 2007 12:30 AM

Mike Vick As if Mike Vick wasn’t in enough trouble now apparently he is a “person of interest” in an Arizona investigation into dog fighting. While this is most likely at publicity stunt by the Bill Veck of law enforcement sheriff Joe Arpaio it is still news.

Arpaio had this to say about Vick

“He’s a person of interest as far as my office is concerned, I’m not talking about a case. I’m talking about a person of interest regarding pit bull fighting.”

This sounds a lot like Joe offering up his jails to Paris Hilton and another excuse to get more headlines for America’s craziest sheriff but wouldn’t it be interesting if Vick actually were involved in another case of dog fighting in another state. It would for sure end his career and be a bigger black eye on the NFL.

The best quote from Arpaio was

Vick’s name has been “very familiar” to his office since “a while back.”

I’m pretty sure the only reason that Vick has been “very familiar” to Sheriff Joe is because he has the NFL Sunday ticket package and has watched the Falcons a lot.

We will have to wait and see if Vick truly involved in Arizona dog fighting or dog fighting at all but even the implication of him being involved here in Arizona is an interesting and possibly damaging one.

For those who detest Sheriff Joe Arpio, tough! If Vick is involved in interstate crimes, then let him wear pink underwear and have him wander around the compound with other thugs and goons who cry at the sight of a puppy…..Vick should be ’serviced” like any other maggot in society.

At least Crazy Joe the Sheriff has an excuse…he’s crazy and gets away with his headline seeking misbehavior. Anyone who purports to consider this “article” a form of journalism instead of misguided innuendoes (by someone who can’t even spell ’sheriff’) has a shallow understanding of journalism and reporting of news. How sad.
