Texans Take Out Cardinals

By fanster.com, August 19th, 2007 8:25 PM

Saturday the Arizona Cardinals lost their second straight pre season game to the Houston Texans 33 to 20. A win is always nice but this was an exhibition game so we can’t stess on the result too much. Like most pre season games, this was one with both pros and cons.

Although this is pre season, the Cardinals defense is causing me to worry. The loss of Chike Okeafor is something that brought down the defense right away. Neither Calvin Pace or Darryl Blackstock were able to show that they could fill Chike’s spot at OLB. The D-line was unable to get any push against a very weak Texans offensive line. I know the Cardinals are only showing their basic defensive packages but that’s no excuse for biting on every play action and having no ability to stop the run. The way it looks the offense is really going to have to put up points this year.

As far as the offense goes, I’m really excited about what the Cardinals are doing. Ever since Anquan Boldin was a rookie I’ve been loseing
