OK so it’s not the basketball finals we were hoping Phoenix would host in 2007 but the Phoenix Mercury did sweep the San Antonio Silver Stars (We admit we had to look up the name of the San Antonio team) in the WNBA Western conference finals.
Just like the Suns their WNBA counter part is led by the big three of Taylor (Think Marion), Pondexter (Think Amare) and Taurasi (think Nash).
The Mercury are 4-0 so far in the WNBA playoffs and will face the winner of the Indiana, Detroit series in the east. Good Luck in the finals ladies. Bring Phoenix it’s first of two basketball championships in 2007-2008.
