As Promised - - -

I’ve missed so much lately that it’s going to take me a few rambling minutes to get my thoughts straight. So let me first give a shout out to Cindy, who I met at the first day of training camp this morning, thanks for coming up and saying hey. I DO enjoy talking to other Coyotes fans, especially ones who compliment me on my blog!! :)

That being said, lets get to the updates!!

Ok, so the Caravan is (for all intents and purposes) over. Sure, there’s a meeting tonight at the Tilted Kilt (I believe) with some of the broadcast guys, but we don’t count them, do we? Haha. No offense guys, we love ya, really… but I’m not going to drive that far out of my way for Pang, I just can’t do it.

I didn’t get to make it to as many of the things that I would have liked to this week, my job just moved offices and so I was at work for the most part getting all our stuff put away and organized. Luckily, I have spies everywhere so I’ve pieced together the majority of the events. As far as I can tell it was a good time (even without yours truly there, can you believe it?).

Let’s just start from the top - Last Saturday I went to as many of these as I could humanly make it to, unlike some people I don’t have a private jet willing to cart me all over Arizona to get to all these things on time… ok, you probably don’t get that, but it was funny. Trust me.

First stop - Zbynek Michalek. Enter Phoenix Coyotes Booster Club, the Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom himself (credit to my mom for giving Z that role). There weren’t many people there but I’m guessing they were A) busy meeting Doan or B) lost in the abyss that is that part of town. It doesn’t bother me in the least. For all of you who didn’t show up, that was more time spent by us teasing the adorable little Czech. There’s nothing wrong there. I liked that he took it all in stride. Between us all, we probably took 25 pictures of the guy, but we were practically the only ones there so I convinced myself it was for his benefit. Even if we bugged him, he never let it show. Kudos Z, you’ve gained a fan for life. Unless you sign with the Sharks, that wouldn’t be ok.

From there we were off to David Aebischer in Peoria. My favorite part of this meeting? So we get up to the boy and Monique tells him that a couple of his fans say hello. His response, “You know those guys already?” in his spiffy accent. I couldn’t help myself, I had to laugh. Yes, Abby, we’re connected.

Next up we headed to Alltel Ice Den in Scottsdale to irritate Derek Morris & Alex the Auld Eagle (ok, maybe you had to be there for that, but it was funny). Howler was there also and shock upon shock, actually got Monique to take a picture with him. Color me surprised, normally she runs for the hills when he gets within 15 feet.

After that we had a couple hours to kill so we hit up Ikea… totally Andie’s idea. I had NOTHING to do with it. :) Finally it was time to go harass Bally at the Tilted Kilt… what a place. I actually think I like it. He said he had spent his summer at home and that prompted me to ask if he was at home having fun and relaxing while we were here sweating out whether he’d be back or not. He smiled and said he was always going to be back. Good answer sweet pea, anything less and I might have had to blacklist you (for about a week, until I saw that booty bump again).

Yes, that was all just Saturday… I was working all day Sunday but from what I’ve heard it was a fun day all around. Mathias Tjarnqvist & Mikael Tellqvist were in Prescott and Freddie Sjostrom & Mike York were here in the Valley Sunday night.

Tuesday was a pretty eventful day for me. My tired blew out on the freeway on my way home so I went to Walmart to get a new one and lo and behold, it JUST so happened to be THE Walmart that Reinprecht was at. He’s such a nice guy. I asked him if he was ready/excited for the season. He said that he was ready for October 4th but didn’t know if he was ready for what was leading up to it. I told him that I was planning to check out training camp and he said it should be a fun time (it was, but more on that later). I asked him if he was ready to battle it out with the kiddies for his spot. He said that yes, he was ready but that he could hardly keep up with them, and he isn’t even that old. I couldn’t help but laugh. You’ve gotta love a guy who can see the humor in that. (I have a picture of him from this but I am having trouble getting it off my camera… stupid camera. So I’ll go back in time and use an old one.)

Wednesday night was Ziggy (and no, I couldn’t go. I had to work) and I hear it was quite fun with quite a few people. Go Ziggy!!

Let’s jump forward, this blog is already ridiculously long, especially with me and my pictures, what can I say? I’m obsessed…

Today was the first official day of training camp and it was very interesting. Martin Hanzal has let his true colors shine through, and by that I DO mean hair color. No more dipping his head in a bucket of bleach ladies and gents, he was all natural. It looked good.

Let’s see, Daniel Carcillo was throwing hits all over the place, as was Daniel Winnik. David Spina was gett
ing his little Arizona booty knocked around. You would have thought he weighed 2 lbs (insert baby Turris joke here) but he took it all in and never said die. It was refreshing.

I couldn’t tell you exactly who was involved but during the first scrimmage, the teams got into a little scuffle near the goal. I turned around and smacked Mo’s leg, “Oh my god! Are you seeing this? Is our team fighting each other?” I couldn’t tell whether to be impressed or pissed off.

Enver Lisin was all over the place, he seems to really want this and it’s just so hard to stay mad at the little flake when he just looks so damn enthusiastic. Too bad too, because my pissivity was doing so well for so long.

(My second husband) Peter Mueller… I don’t know what the hell he was doing, if he’s still nursing an injury or what but he was, well, not up to what I’ve come to expect from him. Maybe that’s my fault for putting him up on a pedestal but my boy needs to pick it up a notch, I wasn’t wow’d. I am used to being wow’d by Petey boy. No worries, though, I still love him. Haha.

I think I’d better end this here, for now. There’s lots more to say but I am getting tired and I don’t want to burn you all out. (As if that could ever happen). :)
