Helping Out

There have been many times where I have written that real life supercedes hockey, sports, fandom, playoffs, and contracts.

Again, this is one of those times.

Bethany writes a Columbus Blue Jackets blog entitled, “Bethany’s Hockey Rants” and a good friend of hers, one that she considers part of her family, passed away this week. Darryl Buehler was 47 years-old and leaves behind a 8 year-old daughter and a wife. The difficulty they now face, besides the terrible loss, is the fact that Darryl did not have insurance as he worked for himself.

Two weeks in the hospital is prohibitively expensive, especially with those that do not have benefits.

Please go to her post to catch up on the story, and if you would like to help by donation or through prayer and/or consolation, they could use it right about now.
