The Cardinals Victims of others Cheating?
I’ve been asked my opinion on this New England Patriots spy scandal a couple times over the last few days and I wanted to bring this in perspective to how a Cardinal fan sees it.
First of all, we know right away the Cardinals have never cheated. Cheaters don’t have just 1 winning season in 20 years. So I don’t think we ever have to worry about allegations popping up accusing Buddy, Vince, Mac, or Denny of cheating. Since the Cardinals do only have one winning season since they moved to Arizona the logical thing for me to do is call the rest of the league cheaters!
It’s plain and simple, the Patriots of the 2000’s the Cowboys of the 90’s and every other team that finished better than the Cardinals are all cheaters. This might be just some crazy theory but maybe the Cardinals run a very honest organization that never cheated and everyone else does. How can we expect Arizona to keep up with other teams when they’re literally in our huddle. What other reason could we have for so many losing seasons. Some might blame the Bidwells, but I’d have to guess it has something to do with everyone else breaking the rules.
Bill Belichick gets caught stealing signals, Rodney Harrison gets caught with HGH, and Shawne Merriman test positive for steroids. All signs point to the best teams in the NFL might have the biggest cheaters. Think about this, Obafemi Ayanbadejo leaves the Cardinals and joins the NFC champion Chicago Bears. About a month later Ayanbadejo test positive for Steroids. All I can figure is Chicago forced Obafemi to take part in their steroid program as a requirement to be on the Bears football team. The Bears probably new Ayanbadejo was on a clean team like the Cardinals and really made an effort to get him juiced up before the season started causing him to fail the drug test.
Who knows who else and what other ways of cheating there are. Maybe Adam Vinatieri has been taking sedatives before every clutch kick to calm his nerves. How else do you explain Adam’s 4 super bowl rings and his amazing ability to make every field goal under pressure. I think the facts are all there and every ones turning a shoulder to it. I don’t even think we should call my theory a theory at this point, it should be called a fact.
If we look at the statistics everyone would agree the Cardinals have been victims of other teams cheating. Arizona deserves reparations from the NFL, the best way to do this would be to give the Cardinals the pick that New England will be losing for spying. Doing that won’t take the pain away from the last 20 seasons, but it will be a step in the right direction. Shame on all of you who have made fun of the Arizona Cardinals. This team was honest and not willing to cheat and they should be commended for it.
