Fan Housing Program: Much Ado About Nothing?

The Super Bowl XLII Host Committee has only set aside 2000 rooms for fans, of total 55,000 rooms in the Valley. (Not including rental houses, bed and breakfasts, RV parks, etc.)

The NFL has booked 19,000 rooms (of the total 55,000), and expected Super Bowl Visitors number approximately 125,000 - so there should be plenty of rooms, even with FBR in town during the same time.

Setting aside a mere 2000 doesn’t seem very helpful or useful. However, if you do think it might be useful, you can find more information by checking out the Fan Housing section of the Super Bowl site.
