Thank You Note To Lou Pinella
Dear Sweet Lou,
Thank you for pulling a Tony LaRussa. Now we realize that it is only game one and that we still need two more, but by trying to win game 4 before having game 1 in hand you really helped us out. Nothing like making sure we never really have to face the true Carlos Zambrano. We only saw him for 6 innings in game 1 and we will only see an 85% Zambrano in game 4, if it gets that far.
We are however a little worried about you, you seemed a little tense in the dugout and after the game in the clubhouse. We hope that doesn’t trickle down to your players, because we are pretty loose. Maybe we are just too young to know any better. And what’s all this talk about a goat, who is the goofy guy in the hat and glasses with the headphones and what is 1908, is it your apartment number or something? Eh, it’s probably nothing I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thanks again for the move last night. Can we expect a similar one tonight with Ted Lilly? I think 85 pitches should do just fine so he is nice and fresh for game 5, or spring training, whatever the case may be.
We should go we have some cartoons to watch and some cereal to eat before we head in to the ballpark. Try to enjoy tonight Lou. It’s just a game… have some fun!
Sincerely,
Those Young Guys in the Other Dugout, The D-backs

A bit harsh about Uncle Lou, but you guys definitely deserve this series. Obviously my pick was foolish, but I dont mind losing to a team that has the heart and desire that the Diamondbacks roster has this year. Their manager, Bob Melvin, is a class act and demonstrates the turnaround this team has made this season.
For the Cubs, they made what looked to be a dismal season into an exciting finish. Unfortunately, I’m a glutton for punishment and thought the odds were on our side.
I’ll be buying my DBacks hat shortly and will send you the pic…
Good Luck AZ,

Hehe…Look forward to seeing the hat and the pic. That WILL go up on the site. All the best next year!
Oh and check out the goat/bartman post!
