Bill James Says Screw Pythagoras D-backs Will Be OK Next Year
Bill James the king of all things baseball statistics released a new paper talking about the Pythagorean projection. He discusses how teams that are over achievers one season tend to have continued success the next. He comes to this conclusion by comparing 100 teams that under achieved with 100 teams that over achieved and looked at how they faired the following season. It is quite interesting and from his findings it seems as if he is saying that that D-backs should be alright next year, but I still say they need a big bat.
