WESTGATE: HOST TO “SPRINT TAILGATE ZONE” PARTIES BEFORE CARDINALS HOME GAMES
Plaza To Feature Sprint Nextel NASCAR Simulator and Other Activities for All
GLENDALE, ARIZONA, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 – This Sunday, WaterDance Plaza at Westgate City Center will be transformed into the “Sprint Pre-Game Tailgate Zone,” for those who want to join the pre-game festivities, featuring the Sprint Nextel NASCAR simulator to provide a live, in-person experience and competition, as well as a host of other promotions and activities for those attending the Cardinals’ game at University of Phoenix Stadium, located right next door to Westgate,
Sprint Pre-Game Tailgate Zone parties throughout the season will start at 11 am, and go until kickoff of the Cardinals’ games at 2:15 pm.
Each FREE Sprint Tailgate Zone Party on the WaterDance Plaza will feature grilled food stands and other vendors, along with beverages and beer tubs selling Miller Brewing Company products. PLEASE NOTE, NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS WILL BE PERMITTED ON THE WESTGATE WATERDANCE PLAZA FOR THESE EVENTS.

Sponsored by Sprint and Miller Lite in conjunction with Westgate’s FOX Sports Grill, Arizona’s best tailgate party will see the Plaza will come alive with activities, such as appearances by “Miller Lite Girls” and contests to win tickets to upcoming Arizona sporting events. In addition, at this event, Sprint will be raffling off signed NFL merchandise.
Sprint will be showcasing NFL Mobile, the popular and exclusive mobile program that delivers up-to-the minute statistics, news, post-game video highlights and customizable fantasy information to Sprint subscribers.
IN ADDITION, THIS WEEKEND ONLY ON NOVEMBER 11, SPRINT WILL BRING THEIR “NEXTEL RACING EXPERIENCE” TO PROMOTE THE NASCAR NEXTEL CUP RACE BEING HELD AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY THAT DAY. A RACING SIMULATOR, THE “NEXTEL RACING EXPERIENCE” ALLOWS UP TO FOUR COMPETITORS TO RACE AGAINST EACH OTHER AND TEST THEIR SKILLS IN THE “CHASE FOR THE NEXTEL CUP.”
Sprint is the official telecommunications provider to the NFL and Super Bowl XLII. Sprint is also the official title sponsor to the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series.
KTAR Sports 620 Radio will also be broadcasting live FOX Sports Grill on the Plaza, hosting a pre-game show and handing out promotional items. Additionally, KTAR will host a season-long “Beanbag Toss Tournament” for teams of two people, where each week winning teams can receive prizes, including tickets to upcoming Cardinals’ home games. Weekly winners will compete in an end-of-season finals, where two tickets to Super Bowl XLII, played at the University of Phoenix Stadium, will be awarded to the ultimate winning team.
