Suns (10-3) lose in Golden State as Warriors score 129
(AP Photo/Ben Margot) The Suns, riding an eight-game win streak, had six players in double figures, scored 112 points in Golden State. Wouldn’t you expect a win? of course you would…that’s unless the Warriors dropped 129 points on them ! 129-112 was indeed the final score.
Golden State scored 45 points in the first quarter and never looked back led by Stephen Jackson 32 points, Monta Ellis career high 31 and Baron Davis 28. The Warriors shot over 51 percent from the field including a very good 13-of-28 from 3-point while the Suns had a decent game on offense (despite too many turnovers, 20) but could not play defense the whole night and even when they actually tried, Davis and Co. always found a way to score.
Steve Nash had 23 points and 13 assists and Stoudemire and Hill added 17 each. It was just one of those nights when the opponent keeps scoring and you just can’t get back into the game as the Warriors held a 6-8-10-point lead until the third quarter when they were able to put the game away for good.
The Suns, now at 10-3, still on top of the Pac 5, play the Rockets in Phoenix on Wednesday Night (7 PM). This time T-Mac will be in the starting line-up.
