It's Tee Time or time to make a Tee Time

Another thing I have learned is the NFL takes advantage of anything they can put their hands on, for example the NFL wanted you to book tee times in Miami through the Super Bowl website.

The downfall here was every course on the site wanted a minimum of $125 for a round of golf. I am a pretty good golfer and enjoy a great golf course, but with the group of guys who are going to Miami we needed a place to hack. You know the kind of course where the required golf attire includes a cooler full of beer.

The good thing was it was still three months away from game time, so there was plenty of time to research courses. After a dozen phone calls of being told to book through the Super Bowl website, I stumbled upon a municipal course in Miami.

When the pro told me he had plenty of tee times available I was pretty psyched, so I booked for the Friday of Super Bowl weekend at 11:00am. I figured that would give us plenty of time in the morning to sleep in and get to the course.

I couldn't have been more wrong, but that is a story for later.

The best news now was the price for a round of golf, including cart was $40 each. I knew this was the course for us!! So, if you know of nice courses in the Sun City area, please send me an e-mail at superbowlmike@azsuperbowlblog.com
