We got Dan Haren and that might be the blockbuster of the offseason in baseball, especially if Johan Santana is not traded. But it cost us 6 prospects, including the highly regarded outfielder Carlos Gonzalez. And, in another trade, we lost Jose Valverde, the major leagues’ saves leader last season. spent some time discussing these trades and other Diamondback moves with Steve Gilbert, Diamondbacks beat writer for MLB.com this morning. I think it was an interesting conversation, if I say so myself.
