On Haren, Valverde, the Suns and more…much more…
Well, it has been awhile since we truly put together a good link list for ya. There has been a LOT going on in Arizona sports the past two weeks and over here at AZSH we would like to catch everyone up - especially ourselves. So here we go:
So apparently former Arizona Wildcat Lance Briggs knows how avoid paying Matt Leinart sums of child support: Hire a great lawyer.
Speaking of Wildcats. The entire Lute Olson debacle just keeps on getting more bizarre, but in spite of that Kevin O’neill’s Cats are tearing it up. Bravo to O’Neill who is now officially Lute’s successor.
The Dan Haren trade had everyone in town buzzing over the D-backs new 1-2 punch. My fiance, however, failed to recognize the significance and when I told her the good news, she said “Is he hot?” Um yes dear…his ERA is hooottttt…But for some actual in-depth reporting on the trade, you should click on these:
- As usual, Jim over at AZSnakepit.com, puts together probably the best analysis of the Dan Haren, Jose Valverde trades that the blogosphere has to offer.
- Newly acquired Connor Robertson speaks out about the trade, what it was like coming up in the A’s farm system, and his new colors.
- Meanwhile, Bob Melvin, inks an extension.
The Phoenix Suns are having an up and down week. The Suns were able to down the Spurs, only to come up short against the Mavs.
This week, AZSH will be back in action on 1060 AM The FAN. We’ll talk Holiday Bowl/ASU, D-backs Trades and discuss the Cardinals season.
Also, no In The Zona the next two weeks, so check out the archives of the show and as usual, call in with your Parting Shots.
Enjoy!
