11:00am sounds like a good time for golf

Friday was a pretty relaxed day as we were seriously hung over from the open bar the night before. This is when the Denny's decision comes back to haunt you! Three of us had a tee time at 11:22 so we were up and out relatively early.

On the way to the golf course, my buddy Don wasn't looking too well. Match that with the fact that I drive like Ricky Bobby and it's a receipt for disaster. While we were driving around looking for the golf course I hear those dreaded words, "pull over fast!"

Well when you are going fast, pulling over fast isn't an option. So right after the word "fast" the puke started to spew out all over the dashboard. Thank God we got a VIP bag from the party the night before that had a Vixen T-shirt in it. The Vixen shirt wouldn't even fit my 10-year-old daughter, but it was just enough to wipe off the puke from the dashboard.

When we finally pulled over, there was still some Denny's and alcohol left in his system so we spend a couple more minutes on the side of the road. Needless to say, once we got to the course no one played very well. The surprise of the day was when Don pared the first hole after puking all the way to the course. That was pretty much the only par for the rest of the day.

If you ever play Miami Springs Golf Course, DON'T order the hot dogs at the turn! After two of those, I was almost ready to puke on the golf cart.

So just a reminder, if you know of good golf inexpensive golf courses in Phoenix, send me an e-mail at superbowlmike@azsuperbowlblog.com
