Friday night in Miami
Friday night we headed into South Beach. The host city usually does a pretty good job of shutting down a couple of blocks so there can be a centralized party area. Bars up and down the strip trying to draw in everyone they can.
There were a few private parties, but I had started too late to find all the good ones. Now would be a good time to tell everyone if you know of some hot parties in Phoenix send me an e-mail at superbowlmike@azsuperbowlblog.com and save me six seats at the bar!
We started to head back thinking maybe we would go to bed early. Well we were on the highway and saw a billboard for the Hard Rock Café, and realized it was a casino too. So we hit the casino at the Hard Rock Café at 1:00am. I hit the slots well enough that I had a little extra drinking money.
It was a little weird a few weeks later when we saw that was the hotel where they found Anna Nicole. I have no idea if she was there during the super bowl, but it was a pretty hopping place even at 1:00am.
We decided to quit while we were ahead, so we headed back to the pit around 2:30am. It was a pretty mellow night, but we still ended up drinking at Denny's at 3:00am. You think I would have learned my lesson, but nope..ordered the milk again! What the hell was I thinking?
