NFL TO HOST CELEBRITY GOLF AND BOWLING EVENTS DURING SUPER BOWL WEEK

Proceeds To Benefit NFL Youth Education Town

PHOENIX– Current and former NFL players in town for Super Bowl Week will join forces with amateur golfers and bowlers in events to raise funds for NFL Youth Education Towns.

Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa in Litchfield Park will play host to the 23rd annual Super Bowl NFL Charities Celebrity Golf Classic on February 2 10 a.m. A celebrity captain will be assigned to each team of five. Teams will play on all three courses at The Wigwam. The entry fee for this event is a tax deductible? $1,500 donation to NFL Charities. Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishing teams on each of the three golf courses. Golfers will receive a commemorative photo plaque. Those participating in both events also will receive a gift bag of official Super Bowl XLII apparel from Reebok.

The third annual Super Bowl NFL Charities Celebrity Bowling Classic will take place on January 31 at the AMF Christown Lanes in Phoenix at 9 p.m.. The bowling classic, sponsored by Strike Ten, will host teams of five, each led by a different celebrity. The entry fee is a $500 tax deductible? donation to NFL Charities. Prizes will be awarded to members of the top three finishing teams in the bowling classic and all bowlers will receive a commemorative Super Bowl XLII bowling ball and pin.

Proceeds from both events will support the NFL YET Center initiative, which serves as a safe haven for at-risk youth, offering counseling, educational mentoring and recreational programs in each Super Bowl host city. Phoenix's NFL YET Center opened in 1996 and serves 1,000 students daily.
