Suns score under 100 and WIN! 94 enough to beat the Clippers
(AP Photo/Roy Dabner) Stoudemire continued where he had left the night before and led the Suns past the Clippers 94-88.
STAT’s personal domination of the Clippers this time included 28 points (12-of-15 from the field), 10 rebounds, 3 blocked shots and the usual 5 fouls in 32 minutes. Amaré received some help from Grant Hill (22 points, 8 assists), Shawn Marion (18 points, 7 rebounds) and Steve Nash (10 points and 10 assists).
Off the bench it’s worthwile to notice the positive contribution, finally one could say, of Boris Diaw (8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists). Monsieur Boris could be a very important factor for the Suns success as he’s both athletic, can run and jump, and technical, can shoot and pass.
Phoenix (21-9) sweeping the home and home series vs LA’s second best won a game scoring under 100 points for the first time this season.
The Suns beat the Clippers because they’re so much better and even on a “so-so” night led more or less the whole game. Just on a couple of occasions the Clippers went up by a point in the third quarter.
The Clippers had once again the better under the boards (56-45 rebounds total) and Chris Kaman bounced back from his awful performance on Friday with a solid game (22 points and 20 rebounds). LA shot just 34 percent from the field (11 percent on 3-pointers) and had only 12 assists as a team on the night.
The Suns will now play the Kings (11-17) in Sacramento on Sunday Night (7 PM). The Kings put on a fight every night at home, so don’t expect anything easy.

Another sad loss for the Clippers. The team really needs someone who can make points and rebounds. How i wish Elton was there to play and lead the game.

The Clippers would be a very different team with Brand, Livingston and an healthy Thomas. Brand and Kaman would be one of the best frontcourt in the League.
It’s just sad, there’s always something going wrong in Clippers Nation, when things are starting to go in the right direction.
