We’re Throwin a Wing Ding
Well what to say? Looks like the Ded Things are a wee bit short this week. Did we catch ‘em quick enuff? Remains to be seen. The Ded have already figured out they can still win without Holmie, Zets and Malt. They been doing it on the backs of Ozzie’s great play, Hudie (not of the Blowfish fame) and Fill steppin up hard, my favorite 1/2 of the Wing’s deadiliest duo Dats (who doesn’t seem to be missin his other half too much) and of course the ever ominous presence of Big Nic. Even with the major roster holes it still won’t be easy to get anything past these game eating zombies.
But, all is not lost gentle readers. We gots us some fire power and some speed and if the hockey gods are listening, some blueliners who learned the hard way to take every advantage we can get instead of just handing it over to anybody who cruises past and to just knock the hell outta everybody tryin to swing a puck anywhere near Bryz!.
Lisin may be able to draw us some good penalties (and just maybe tonight I can refrain from screamin ‘just decline it!‘), it’s time for Sjo to shine again (hey! it was funny to me), the MRD/Murder line hasn’t contributed to the scoring committee lately and the VHS should rearrange its latters a bit SHV (shove line, as in shove over ded boy, I’m on my way to your net).
Either way it should be entertaining and I will endeavor to endure the Ded fans (they gotta be better than the MORON sittin behind me at the Wild game).
Limiting turn overs, containing Dats, not letting Liddie control the game pace and finding a way to get in Dom’s kitchen or over top of Ozzie will be the major parts of this game. But most of all we have absolutely GOT to find a friggin power play. More games than I care to look up stats for have been lost by that lack.
Everyone keeps sayin the Wings need some adversity. How about we give ‘em a little in the form of a 2 or 3 point beating? We only play ‘em one more time so it won’t matter if we send them on a tear thru the league tryin to make up for the embarrassment.
