Super Bowl XLI Colts vs. Bears
We slept until about 12:30pm until Thom decided he wanted something to eat. Again, this sounded like a good idea at the time. So we headed down to Flannigan's to get a burger. After the night before I couldn't even look at beer. Don and Stephen ordered a beer and were ready to go. I took about 3 bites out of my burger and was ready to sleep at the bar. I went into the men's room, had a couple of dry heaves and knew I had to get some more sleep. We went back to "the pit" and slept until 5:00pm. Now I was ready to go watch the Super Bowl. Just before we left we asked the strippers where their club was, we got directions and said we would see them after the game.
The Super Bowl was all right; we took the underdogs and were rooting for the Bears. We wore our Patriots jerseys and had fun yelling choke every time Adam Vinatieri took the field. Although there were some Colts fans there, the bar wasn't too loud. I think they may have been afraid to cheer, because once the game was over it seemed everyone there was a Colts fan. We wrapped the weekend up with a trip to the strip club. This was the first strip club I have gone too in a couple of years. I have to start doing a little research to see where we will end up at 2:00am in Phoenix. Sometime between my last visit and this one it became the in thing to have women go to strip clubs. How the heck did I miss that? I believe our two friends from the hotel were "hired" out again, because they never showed up to work. Not that we hadn't already seen them naked at the hotel, but I was still hoping for a free dance for the ride Saturday night.
So as I sat in the Tampa airport, waiting for the connecting flight to Manchester, I started looking at hotels for Arizona for the 2008 Super Bowl Party. Hopefully I have made enough connections that I get an invitation to the 2008 Penthouse Super Bowl Party because THAT is the place to be if you are going to the Super Bowl. It doesn't matter if you have tickets to the big game or not (well yes it does), save your money and invest it in that party because it will be a better show than the Super Bowl itself!
So as I start to plan the trip to Phoenix, I want to know where are the hot hangouts, where the true football fans party and what events will be the best of Super Bowl weekend 2008! Send me an e-mail at superbowlmike@azsuperbowlblog.com let me know where I should be headed in the Phoenix, Glendale, Sun City area.
