Super Saturday Around Town & Super Sunday Prep
My Saturday began quietly, but when I did leave the house around noon, there was a lot of traffic heading down the street to the NFL Experience and Westgate area!
I decided to drive over to Scottsdale, 40 minutes, to see what was going on over there. Fashion Square was basically Scottsdale’s version of the NFL Experience. There were people and players everywhere! I’ve never seen so many men shopping… a little disconcerting actually.
I drove back over to the West side, and got ready to head out. We could have gone to the Playboy party, but only had red carpet access and it was a long drive for us. We could have gone to see Kid Rock at the Bud Bowl, or hung out at the Athlete’s and Red Carpet parties, but again, too long of a drive when you want to party and have a good time. So we decided to go out to Westgate across from the stadium again. It was a good call!
Between the NFL Experience at night and the events, restaurants and bars at Westgate- there were a ton of people- and it was a blast!
I walked back over this morning to get the car before it was towed- saw some other cars that were not so lucky as the tow trucks were lined up and ready to clear the lots! The parking attendants were all ready in place, media was walking around and setting up, and there were a lot of last minutes preparations being made for today!
There is a cloud cover today that has actually warmed it up a bit- it seems the east coast teams have brought their cold weather with them this week. They say there is a chance of rain later- I really hope they keep the stadium roof open.

After researching other Super Bowl sites, I realized there was not a whole lot of really useful information for football fans, locals, or those who may be traveling here to Arizona for NFL games, the BCS Fiesta Bowl and/or Super Bowl XLII.
I decided to create a site that I would want to check out, full of information from locals about the area and what is going on here, for NFL games or Super Bowl XLII, so AZ Super Bowl Blog was born.
