Super Bowl Mike: On AZ Super Bowl Transportation
Well I have to say, after all is said and done, I was a little disappointed in the way Arizona handled the Super Bowl.
I understand the need to have events in different locations to control crowds, traffic and everything else surrounding an event like this, however if you are going to do this, free transportation should be provided to each location. There should have been shuttle busses running every half hour back and forth from location to location. Specifically when there were signs everywhere about driving under the influence.
This came about on Thursday night when we were at Westgate and wanted to go to the 944 Magazine Party in Scottsdale. When the cab pulled in based on the pricing on the side of the cab, it would have cost about $75 each way. Instead we loaded up the van and drove over ourselves.
Having ESPN, and other events over 30 miles away from the stadium put a strain on time and which events the fans can attend. Maybe there were shuttles or other transportation, but I didn’t see any signs or public notices on how to get from one place to another. It’s a shame too, because each location had some pretty amazing events.

After researching other Super Bowl sites, I realized there was not a whole lot of really useful information for football fans, locals, or those who may be traveling here to Arizona for NFL games, the BCS Fiesta Bowl and/or Super Bowl XLII.
I decided to create a site that I would want to check out, full of information from locals about the area and what is going on here, for NFL games or Super Bowl XLII, so AZ Super Bowl Blog was born.
