Super Bowl Mike: Giants Fans
Giants Fans
Well Sunday certainly didn’t turn out like I had hoped! I will say for a
“Boston” vs. New York Super Bowl pretty much everyone was commenting that it
was no where near the Yankees vs. Red Sox. Fans seemed a lot more civil to
each other, at least where I was at the Yard House.
For example there was a guy in a Giant’s jersey right next to our table
named Bob Kelly. Bob and I joked and cheered all through the game and were
able to shake hands afterwards as I congratulated him on the Giant’s win.
There were other Giant fans I was talking to through out the weekend. As a
matter of fact, we had one staying in our room at the hotel. When I
received a text from Erin stating she was at the Yard House, she was at a
table full of Giant fans. (Check out the picture of Super Bowl Monkey, also hanging with the Giant’s fans on the Yard House Patio)
We were able to sit down and talk football, andpretty much everything else. We both joked saying if it was the Yankees/RedSox, there would have been a heck of a lot more arrests.
To the Giant fans, I say, “Congratulations”. I didn’t think the Patriots
deserved to win based on their play. They never had the eye of the tiger or
killer instinct. My best friend Steven Demarco said it best, Bill Belichick
should have played Herb Brook’s speech to Team USA prior to the gold medal
game. “Lose this game you will regret it for the rest of your life!” I
think this will haunt the current players for a long, long time. They will
always be known as the 18-1 Patriots.

After researching other Super Bowl sites, I realized there was not a whole lot of really useful information for football fans, locals, or those who may be traveling here to Arizona for NFL games, the BCS Fiesta Bowl and/or Super Bowl XLII.
I decided to create a site that I would want to check out, full of information from locals about the area and what is going on here, for NFL games or Super Bowl XLII, so AZ Super Bowl Blog was born.
