Hook, line and sinker. The Cardinals have finally come to an agreement with Larry Fitzgerald for 4 years worth $40 million. $30M of that contract are guarantees.
Kent Somers, was first on the scene:
The web site calls the deal a four-year extension, but it’s unclear if the new deal replaces his existing contract or adds four years to it. Fitzgerald had two years remaining on his rookie deal.
The bottom line is this is good news. We wish this happened a few weeks back before free agency started, but you can’t fault Fitzgerald. The big question is still do the Cards have enough cap room to really fill out their needs.
We will see.
