Eric Byrnes went 2-3 with a double in today’s game against the Oakland A’s. It’s 2-1 Oakland after 7 full and the Diamondback starters, including Byrnes, are pretty much out of there. Starting pitcher Doug Davis gave up a run and reliever Edgar Gonzalez gave up the other.

This was Byrnesie’s first time playing consecutive games this spring. He batted third and played LF. This was his first multi-hit game, his first double and his second extra-base hit. (The first was yesterday’s homer). Unfortunately, there were no RBI or runs scored, but a multi-hit day is always good. His batting average is now .304.

Keep it up, Byrnesie! March 31 will be here sooner than you think!
