Surprise Surprise 24 Year Old Millionnaire Shows Poor Judgement
We were far from shocked this morning when we woke up to pictures of Matt Leinart partying at his home with co-eds splashed all over the internet. Apparently we were the only ones as a complete “outrage” was sweeping the valley. From sports talk radio to the newspaper the fans and media were angry about Matt Leinart not showing “commitment” and “dedication to football”. Dan Bickley of the Republic went as far as to say “Grow up, Matt. You’re not in college any more. You’ve had enough breaks.”
We in no way condone underage drinking, or driving intoxicated but we also understand that people are bound to screw up. We are in the minority but honestly get off Leinart’s back (the offensive line lets enough people on there during the season). He is a 24 year old guy that is a product of the environments he has come up in (yeah I know those environments must have been terrible). The guy has been coddled as a star athlete in high school and college (see easy classes and lots of women). He has millions of dollars and way too much free time (He sounds like us accept for the millions of dollars and too much free time). The three things I blame Leinart for are
1) poor judgment (really a beer bong? you have millions of dollars find something cooler than a rubber tube and a funnel to impress the ladies and imbibe your adult beverages through. How about a margarita cannon?),
2) hanging out with women that are below his standards (You would have thought Paris Hilton and Britney Spears would have been slumming it enough for Matt) and
3) having Nick Lache hanging around. (is he Kato Kalen for a new generation?)
For our money we will take Hollywood Matt over the actions of other NFL stars such as Mike “Ron Mexico” Vick and “Pac Man” Jones. So Hollywood parties a bit and enjoys a few drinks and some less than quality women, at least he isn’t giving (allegedly) STDs to women, killing dogs or hurting people at strip clubs while making it rain.
Just remember Hollywood, have your guest check the cameras, camera phones and any other recording devices at the door and no one will be the wiser.
