Chris Young, Dbacks Agree on $28 Million Deal

The News:
Chris Young and the Arizona Diamondbacks came to terms on a deal that will keep him patrolling centerfield for the Dbacks through the year 2013 with a team option for 2014. It is believed to be worth $28 Million dollars and is similar to the six year, $31 million deal the Rockies stud short stop Troy Tulowitzki received earlier this year.

The Take:
Yet another brilliant move by Josh Byrnes and the Dbacks brass. CY, as we affectionately have called him since his days in Tucson, has proven to be a true talent in the field and at the plate. His power production has him destined to anchor the middle of the lineup with J-Up10 (Justin Upton) and his speed makes him a threat on the base paths and tracking down fly balls in the cavernous center field at Chase. Sure he strikes out a lot, like we did with the ladies back in high school, but like us he'll learn how to be patient and take what is given to him and not swing for the fences every time. Our prediction? This deal proves to be a steal for the snakes, just like the trade that brought him to the valley, and CY becomes an all star center fielder probably the best in team history (Sorry Devon White and Steve Finely Fans).
