I’ve had mid-terms and vacations, and all kinds of stuff interfering with my blog lately. Furtunately, there hasn’t been too much action in Sun Devil Nation.
The baseball team started off the season great, but have faded a bit. They have now lost 4 games, and are currently ranked #4 in the nation.
Spring football has started, and the offense is looking pretty good. Coach Dennis Erickson said Rudy Carpenter has looked great (we can only hope as much for the regular season). Chris McGaha broke a toe in his left foot, and this caused him to miss the Spring game. He should be fine for the start of the season.
One of the more interesting developments is for the ASU basketball team. Christian Polk is transferring, opening up an extra scholarship. There have been rumors of that scholarship going to a “foreign big-man” this year, but we haven’t even been given a name. More likely, this will put ASU on the offensive in trying to land a 2009 big man like Rednardo Sidney, Brendan Lane, or Anthony Stover. Sidney, the #1 power forward in the 2009 class and future NBA lottery pick, could come to ASU if his good friend James Harden decides to stay for his junior year.
I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated as these stories develop.
