By now most of you have heard that the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles have offered trades to the Cardinals for . GM Rod Graves said, “We’re not interested in trading Anquan.” GM’s don’t always tell the truth, but I believe Rod when he says the Cardinals are not trading Boldin.

Anquan’s infamous agent Drew Rosenhaus met with Rod Graves and Ken Whisenhunt in December over Boldin’s contract. According to Graves, the Cardinals offered Anquan a contract that would put him among the five highest-paid receivers within three years. Rosenhaus rejected that offer and said he was going to wait until Larry Fitzgerald’s contract was done. I think this is good news because both teams are talking and interested in getting a deal done. Rosenhaus and many other agents always play the game and say that their player would welcome a trade. That’s nothing more than a bluff and no Cardinal fan should worry about it. The thing that does cause a little concern is all of Drew’s clients hold out for big money. There’s a chance Anquan may hold out until he gets offered a contract worth more than Fitzgerald’s. So that could cause some concern but I feel confident that a deal will be done and Anquan will be a Cardinal for the next few years.

The Cardinals know better than anyone how valuable Boldin is to this team. He’s one of the top players at any position and you can’t find a replacement for him. I’m guessing the Cardinals are smart enough to keep together the best receiving duo in the league. There will be no trade for Anquan Boldin, so don’t panic Cardinal fans.
