statdown.jpg(AP Photo/Eric Gay) On October 30th, 2007, a few hours before opening day on this same blog I tried to list the key questions that would have defined the Suns season. I’ll post them again, with a simple answer for each one of those.

Eight simple questions, ONE simple answer.

1. Can the Suns sign a big man good enough to guard Tim Duncan? NO
2. Will Grant Hill be the missing piece of the puzzle? NO
3. Will Marion ever be happy in Phoenix? NO
4. Will Nash win yet another MVP? NO
5. Will Coach D'Antoni play 9-10 players on a regular basis? NO
6. Will the Suns ever find a back-up to Steve Nash at the point? NO
7. Can the bench help down the stretch? NO
8. Can the Suns' style of play beat San Antonio in a 7-game series? NO

HOPE-ning day was at the time…the long Summer is now, at least now we know the answer; it’s NO.

Yours truly, Steve Fan

So you think it’s time to rebuild NOW.

I am not so sure, maybe this team with a couple of adjustments could contend for another season. Of course it’ll be a one-shot and you’ll have to sacrifice at least 4-5 years after that. I’d hate to see Nash leave anyway.
