Complete Game Moves Webb To 8-0
The News: Arizona Diamondbacks’ ace Brandon Webb defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in a matinée affair 8-3 at chase field. The complete game 104 pitch performance improves Webb to 8-0 on the season with a 2.41 ERA. Webb gave up 6 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned and struck out 4 over 9 innings.
Our Take:Webb has looked nothing short of stellar this season. At the rate he is going a second Cy Young will adorn his trophy case. If we were Brandon Webb we’d be getting ready to book our tickets to New York for July 15th’s All Star game at the house that Ruth built. Maybe he and Justin Upton can book a flight together.
