A new feature you can expect here at AZSH is the Arizona Sports Power Players. Every Monday (Yes we do realize it is Tuesday this week) we will name the top 5 news makers in Arizona sports for the week prior. As always feel free to comment on our selections and make your own nominations.

1 (1) | Mike D’Antoni | His name and decision have dominated the headlines for over a week. By choosing to leave the team he placed himself as Arizona sports power player for this week. | |

2 (2) | Brandon Webb | Webb has been about as impressive as possible through the first month and a half of the season. He continued his dominance throwing a complete game to improve to 8-0 last week. | |

3 (3) | ASU Baseball | The Sun Devils won their 40th game of the season. | |

4 (4) | Stephen Drew | Drew hit 3 triples, had 5 RBI and batted .286 during the week. He also was a key in Randy Johnson’s 286th career victory. | |

5 (5) | Chris Young | Young hit 3 home runs, had 5 RBI and compiled an OPS of .907 for the week. His three home runs came in consecutive games. | |
