Vegas trembles in fear as Barkley gives up gambling
Charles Barkley made news last week when the Wynn Las Vegas resort filed a civil claim against Sir Charles, alleging that he had failed to cover $400,000 in casino loans from last October. We all know Charles likes to gamble. We’re not going to pretend to be holier than thou, and “reprimand” Barkley for his wagering ways. As a matter of fact, we agree with Charles. Gambling’s only a problem when the person doing the gambling can’t afford it. It’s not a problem with Barkley, he can afford it. That’s why we find it hard to believe he’ll stop. (Didn’t Snoop Dogg say he wasn’t going to smoke weed anymore too?)
Here’s a list of ten things that will happen before Charles Barkley gives up gambling.
10. Doug Christie will tell his wife he’s going out for a night on the town with the guys.
9. Shaquille O’Neal will lead the NBA in free throw shooting.
8. Isiah Thomas will land another coaching job.
7. Tim Duncan will agree with a foul call.
6. Tracy McGrady will experience the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs.
5. Grant Hill will experience the 2nd round of the NBA Playoffs.
4. Josh Howard will get high on only life in the offseason.
3. Pau Gasol will show up for a game with a clean shave and a haircut.
2. Bill Walton will get high on only life during the regular season.
1. The Phoenix Suns will win a championship.
