Brandon Webb goes for his tenth straight victory as he faces Ricky Nolasco and the Florida Marlins tonight. Webb’s ERA is 2.56. Nolasco has a 2-3 record and a 5.18 ERA. I like Brandon’s chances if the D’Backs don’t beat themselves as they did last night.
If all goes according to plan, on Friday, Doug Davis makes his first major league start since undergoing thyroid cancer surgery in April. He’ll be up against the Atlanta Braves. Welcome Back, Doug!!!
Slumping Mark Reynolds got 3 hits against Detroit on Sunday and he told D’Backs beat writer Steve Gilbert that he feels like he’s coming out of the batting doldrums. Tonight would be a great night to make that official, Sheriff.
