Old Habits Die Hard, I Guess.

Atlanta 3 - Arizona 1. Braves win on a two-run walk-off homer.

Hey, Guys…yeah, you guys from Arizona,

Randy Johnson pitched a whale of a game today and got no decision. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts! At his age, he doesn’t have that many of those left, and you shouldn’t waste any of them like you did today. This is the best, so far, of a bunch of good pitching outings that have been squandered lately. If you come up a day late and a dollar short at the end of the season, you need only look at May to find the trouble.

What is going on, guys? J-Up, there are other letters in the alphabet besides K. Byrnesie, man does not live by bagels and pop up pastries alone.  One would have thought that the great energy behind  yesterday’s 11-1 thumping of this same Braves team would have carried over, especially the way RJ was pitching. And especially given that the Braves’ excellent starter had to leave after 4 innings with a blister.

But it’s not just this one game. You are 9-12 so far this month. That’s not even .500.  That’s no way to treat the best rotation in the league, guys.
