Last month, the Toronto Sun published a report that indicated several American NHL teams, including your Phoenix Coyotes, are experiencing financial difficulties, and teams from Canada are flourishing.
Of course, this opens the door for every Canuck to pile on and suggest that those struggling American franchises pack up and move to the great white north. They go further to suggest that Hamilton, Quebec City and Winnipeg get teams.
I’m the first to admit that I love Canada’s passion for hockey. But didn’t Quebec City and Winnipeg already lose franchises?
Finally someone in the blogosphere has stepped up and said what we’ve been saying for years. Phoenix can be a great hockey town when it has a great hockey team. It shouldn’t have to be that way, but it is like that here in the desert.
Interesting read from Daily Sport News.
