did manage to ignite one bottle rocket, launching an 0-2 pitch with one out in the 10th inning from Kansas City reliever Yasuhiko Yabuta over the right field fence, and lifting the D-Backs to a 1-0 win over the Royals. Th

pitched brilliantly for Arizona, lasting 7 innings and giving up 6 hits while striking out 7. He settled for no decision. His counterpart, Zack Greinke, also pitched well. Greinke also went 7, giving up only 3 hits, but walked 7.

Former Royal Billy Buckner got his first win for the Diamondbacks, just hours after being recalled from Triple A Tucson. Yabuta took the loss.
