A personal thank you to Lute Olson
As a University of Arizona graduate, I wanted to send you a thank you letter. I’m not writing to thank you for strong-arming Chase Budinger back, although that will make the team more bearable to watch. Nor am I writing you to thank you for getting rid of Kevin O’Neill or Miles Simon, because all those comments should be directed to Jim Livengood, right?
No, I am writing to thank you for not allowing Emmanuel Negedu play for this prestigious program. Not only did you say he is not coachable, (don’t worry Lute I don’t care what his high school coach says), but he also keeps some pretty questionable company.
I was appalled to find out that Negedu was hanging out with Marisa Miller and her husband when he announced yesterday that he is going to Tennessee. Who in their right mind would ever want to hang out with Marisa Miller, who topped the Maxim Hot 100 list (I’m looking at you, Vince Marotta)?
I just wanted to thank you for sparing us, the loyal UofA basketball fans, from having to see her on the sidelines at McKale Center and on TV when people talked about the program. What are we Kentucky? We don’t need an Ashley Judd-type fan distracting everyone from court side.
Thank you once again Lute. I’m just glad I will be able to fully focus on our upcoming fifth place Pac-10 finish on the court instead of some super model in the stands.
Bear Down,
Greg
