Honestly who cares if Shaq doesn’t like Kobe
The Shaq rap from last night has rekindled the “Does Shaq hate Kobe?” debate in the mainstream media. The story and question were so big they even led off the 6 PM EST edition of SportsCenter.
Here is a simple answer, WHO CARES!!
This isn’t high school so it really doesn’t matter if two grown men decide not to like each other. Shaq has every right in the world to not like Kobe if he chooses to. It’s not anyone’s business other than his.
He takes on Patrick Ewing and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the same rap and you don’t hear ESPN or anyone else asking “Does Shaq hate Ewing and Kareem?”.
Sure Shaq took Kobe to task in his impromptu rap in New York City but it was Shaq being Shaq.
He was hamming it up to the crowd and giving them what they wanted… a show.
Did he take it a little too far? Maybe, but whether he likes Kobe or not you know it was more about his pride than hating Kobe. He wants to be sure that everyone knows that the Lakers, Phil and Kobe have not won a championship since he left.
Everyone needs to loosen up and laugh at this. There are worse things Shaq could be doing in a club. He’s not Pacman Adam Jonesing it up so enjoy the wonder that is the Big Aristotle.
“You know how I be, last week Kobe couldn’t do it without me”. Sounds like the truth. Than again if it was based on a hate for Kobe could Suns fans really blame him?
