According to the Tucson Citizen, the Diamondbacks and their first round draft pick Daniel Schlereth are close to reaching a contract agreement.
Schlereth, the 26th pick overall, says he could sign as early as this week and that he has recovered from a strained high triceps muscle he suffered prior to the University of Arizona’s super regional versus Miami. The injury caused him to miss the entire super regional.
