Sun Devils finish 1-2 at RBC Canadian Open

It was a great weekend for former Arizona State golfers at the RBC Canadian Open in Oakville, Ontario. Chez Reavie got his first win on the PGA tour after leading pretty much wire to wire. Reavie shot a final round 1-under 70 to finish the tournament at 17 under par 267, three strokes better than another former Devil, veteran Billy Mayfair. Reavie took home a paycheck of $900,000, not bad for 4 days of work, huh? Especially when you consider Reavie had won a combined $764,000 on tour to this point.

Reavie’s victory was also a win for the Arizona Diamondbacks, who sponsor the golfer. Reavie sports the Sedona red and black Diamondback ‘A’ on his golf shirts. While the D-Backs were sweeping the San Francisco Giants over the weekend, Reavie was sweeping the competition north of the border.
