Congratulations to Dan Haren and the Diamondbacks, who reached an agreement on extending Haren’s contract to 2012 with a club option for 2013. Haren’s original contract was scheduled to run out in 2010 after which he would have been eligible for free agency. The extension is worth $31 million.
