Hey Cardinals Fans, Peter King thinks you aren’t passionate

The of the Houston Texans are not passionate. The of the are not passionate. I mean, I came out here this morning, and all you see are people who are just NUTTY about the Redskins. They’re out of their minds. They’re crazy.

Those are the words of SI.com’s Peter King via The Official Blog of the Washington Redskins.

I’m just surprised he had a few minutes to break away from the Brett Favre situation to rip on Cardinals .

Is it really fair to make fun of Cardinals ? It’s not like the Bidwill’s have given the much to be passionate about, but if you are a true Cardinals fan, passion isn’t lacking (sanity maybe, but not passion).

There may only be a small core of 25,000-30,000 who have followed the team from day one but don’t discount their passion. They (myself included) sat on metal bleachers in a college stadium to watch a football team that never lived up to expectations yet they still cheered loudly (if you could hear them over opposing ). If that isn’t passion, then I don’t know what is (although it also could be stupidity, as many of my non-Cardinal fan friends have pointed out over the years).

Sure the Redskins are “crazy” as you say but Cardinals are truly crazy. How else would you explain them rooting for a team who averages 6 wins, has a team name that has nothing to do with the state and has had more starting quarterbacks than Scottsdale has posers?

Peter, you can keep your Redskins . Personally I wouldn’t want to associate with any male who have voluntarily have donned a dress and a pig nose to a game…
