Buster Olney tries to fill the Diamondbacks second base hole

carroll81308.jpgInteresting post by Buster Olney today over on ESPN.com. He seems to feel the Diamondbacks may not be done dealing and offers up a few possibilities of who they might pick up to help at second base.

[Orlando Hudson]’s out for the season after dislocating his left wrist. Sad news about someone who absolutely loves to play the game. Susan Slusser speculates within this piece about whether the D-backs might call Oakland about Mark Ellis; another name I’ve heard mentioned as a possible fill-in is Jamey Carroll of the Indians, although as of Monday morning, a conversation between the D-backs and Indians hadn’t taken place.

Olney also gives some analysis on the Adam Dunn trade in the same piece.
